Cheesecloth vs Gauze Wraps
Cheesecloth (crinkled cotton):
Best when you want visible texture and an airy, organic finish. Ideal as a top layer, drape, or styling accent.
Gauze (lighter, smoother weave):
Best when you want a softer, more delicate texture and a lighter layer — great for subtle drapes and minimal setups.
Easy ways to style cheesecloth wraps
- Top-layer wrap: wrap baby in a stretchy base, then add cheesecloth for the visible texture.
- Loose drape: lay it softly over the baby for that airy, organic finish.
- Bowl/basket styling: drape + tuck for depth and natural folds.
- Under-baby texture: place a small layer under baby’s hands/feet to add dimension in close-ups.
- Color accent in-frame: one calm tone in the corner/edge = cohesive styling without changing the whole setup.

How to wash to keep the crinkle (and the look)
- Don’t iron (the crinkle is the point).
- Wash with mild detergent, skip bleach/softener.
- Tumble-dry or scrunch and air-dry — both help keep the texture.
- Store loosely (not tightly folded) so it stays soft and “ready to style”.

FAQ
Which length should I choose?
1–2m for layering/draping. 3m for full wrapping and swaddling.
Are cheesecloth wraps stretchy?
Not in the way a stretchy wrap is. Cheesecloth has a natural crinkle weave that gives it a slight, gentle give, which makes it easier to shape and work with — but it’s designed for texture, layering and drape, not for firm support or swaddling.
Are they see-through?
Lightly — ideal as a top layer.
Cheesecloth vs gauze — what’s the difference?
Our Cheesecloth wraps are more textured/crinkled. Gauze wraps are lighter and more subtle in texture.
Do you have a base wrap to use underneath?
Yes — our basic wrap set is made to be the supportive first layer, with cheesecloth on top for the final look.
How do I wash them?
Machine wash with mild detergent, wash separately, no bleach. Tumble-dry is ok.
Do they work for potato pose?
Yes — especially 3m when you need more fabric and control.
